ARAU HDC500

This high-pressure cleaning system from ARAU is used for metal castings, e.g. in the automotive or engineering industries. Its design combines a high-quality look-and-feel with highly cost-effective manufacture. Typically, the system comprises three components: the cleaning cell, employed to blast castings with sand or glass beads; the power supply cell with pressure-generation and filtration components; and a pick-and-place robot for automated handling of the castings. Access for maintenance and placement of castings was reorganized and seamlessly integrated into the overall design.

A particular challenge with this project was the very short timeframe between first draft design and presentation at a trade show. It required both effective design-to-cost and time-to-market.
